Hou-Tex Glass & Mirror was founded in 1978 in Southwest Houston. The company started as a small auto glass and residential service shop.
Rick Newnom worked at multiple Houston glass companies and enjoyed the industry so much he decided to purchased Hou-Tex Glass & Mirror in January 1997. At the time the company only had 3 employees and 2 trucks.
Fast forward to 2024, the company has over 50 employees and a fleet of over 10 trucks.
Renee Newnom, Cody Newnom, and Bob Newnom all came to work with Rick Newnom; making Hou-Tex Glass & Mirror a true family owned and operated business.
The company is a leader in service for major contractors, school districts, home builders, apartment builders, and homeowners.
